Mr. Braem's Class
Welcome to my classroom website. I am the Theatre Arts Instructor at Northwest High School, Director of International Thespian Society Troupe #6252, and Artistic Director of the Theatre Guild. I teach several theatre classes each year. I teach Theatre Arts I and a series of Advanced Theatre Classes: Theatre Arts II, Theatre Arts II/III, Theatre Arts III, Theatre Arts IV, and Dual Enrollment Theatre via UT Martin. I also teach Broadcast Journalism. I serve as the Producer of the Northwest Review and Editor of the school newspaper, the Northwest Conqueror.
My classes are studio classes, which means that not only are there traditional lectures and test but students will also be on their feet learning about all aspects of theatre. Students will complete a number of performance assessments that will require them to share their work with their classmates as an individual and as a group. Additionally, performances for a public audience are also REQUIRED for my classes. These performances are after school and students will have these dates several weeks ahead of time to adjust their schedules. One cannot be successful in my class is they do not participate in these performance assessments. Please click the links below to find out more about each class.
Students, if you ever need to talk you can see me in my classroom, room 064, before or after school. Parents, if you have any questions or concerns about your student you may reach me via email at [email protected] or reach me by phone at 931.648.5675 ext. 1064
